Block printing is a technique where a block of wood is carved to create patterns that will be hand-printed on fabric. The artisans then dip the carved block in clean dyes to imprint the fabric.

The block-printed fabrics were then quilted and sewn in to lightweight jackets. We made the jacket longer than the AI design for more comfort, added pockets and fabric buttons, contrasting piping for outline and a gorgeous blue lining for reinforcement.
