Nazia wants to revitalize art forms that she grew up with in India, and make them accessible to her customers while also empowering the artisans and artists by giving their art a global platform.
Representation matters, even in clothes, and with Transcend, I wanted to make high-quality embroidery, prints and size-inclusive designs accessible to women with a global aesthetic through timeless, stylish and functional silhouettes.
Transcend means to rise above and push the
limits of status quo, by doing things differently, even if they are difficult.

Inspired by the colors and textures of India’s shopping bazaars, Transcend’s dresses and separates are handmade and embroidered by artisans out of eco-conscious fabrics like organic cotton and linen.
One of our sustainability goals is to use packaging that doesn’t harm the planet. We take great care in sourcing our packaging supplies and everything from our tissue paper to tape and stickers are either recycled, recyclable and/or biodegradable.
I want Transcend to be a vehicle for lifting and empowering the underprivileged and for helping the planet.

Transcend is deeply rooted in the principles of sustainability and ethics and this year, our goals are to use natural and sustainable fabrics, preorder business model to prevent inventory waste, use sustainable packaging and give back 2% of our revenues directly to the makers
and artisans who brought our beautiful pieces to life.
